The i15N-90 and the i15N-60 systems are larger 2-way constant coverage point sources providing a front loading for the cone transducer to extend the constant coverage into the mid frequency band. This in order to enable an optimized transmission for medium to longer throw applications. Operation is simplified with an optimized passive frequency dividing network incl. Hi Driver RMS protection. The ported cabinet is made of waterproof glued plywood with a durable fine textured paint finish. The Variants providing different horizontal and vertical coverage angels of 90°x 40° (h x v i15N-90) an 60°x40° (h x v i15N-60). Please note that their horns are not interchangeable due to different passive frequency dividing networks. Both variants provide rotatable horns to change h x v directivity.
The system is protected by a robust protective grille with foam cover. Five integrated handles are provided for ease of setup and installation. The i15N system is primarily intended for fixed installation, but can be ordered with PU coating for mobile use. In stand-alone or spaced array operation, it can be used as a main, support or (side-) fill speaker. Due to its neutral reproduction characteristics and the very high maximum SPL Level, it is equally suitable for speech and music transmission. For low end support, the DAL Sub-Low systems, BR118 and BR218 are suitable.
Featuring an efficient 15" NDym cone transducer with 4" voice coil and a 1,4” NDym Hi driver with 4" voice coil on a rotatable horn, the i15N system provides an audio bandwidth of 45Hz - 14KHz with a Peak power handling of 2000W.The i15N systems can be operated without the DAL Control & Drive Systems but with a disadvantage in the low and low mid frequency band, which need to be compensated external. The passive frequency dividing network has an integrated(RMS) protection limiter for the high frequency driver on board. When operated with the DAL Control & Drive System, the system is optimal parameterized for sonic quality and protected for maximum continuous and peak sound pressure levels. The DAL Control & Drive Systems provide different settings for the operation of i15N combinations. The i15N-90 offers a wide horizontal dispersion for stand-alone operation.The i15N-60 is also suitable for tight clustering and arraying with a horizontal dispersion (h x v 2 x 40° x 60°).
