The i62N systems is a high power, compact twin-coaxial two way constant coverage point source with passive frequency dividing network. The ported cabinet is made of waterproof glued plywood with fine textured paint finish. The i62N provides a coverage of (h x v) typically 100°x 35° in vertical operation with the horn in standard orientation. In vertical orientation with the horn rotated the dispersion characteristic changes to (h x v) 70° x 35°. With the horn rotated the side lobes around 800 Hz and 2,5KHz are mostly suppressed. The Twin Coaxial design narrows the radiation pattern. The i62N offers a more narrow and symmetrical radiation patterns compared to standard point source designs.
Horizontal operation with the horn rotated provides a very good suitability for applications like front fills on stage and under balcony delays as standard point sources can provide. Operated in vertical application this dispersion character is useful for speech and music transmission in places with critical acoustics. Horizontal arraying in vertical operation as a tight pack is also possible, but will not expand the horizontal sound distribution zone whilst offering much headroom for higher sound pressure levels in a small package. The system is protected by a robust protective grille with foam cover. The i62N system is primarily intended for fixed installation, but can be ordered with PU coating for mobile use. In stand-alone or spaced array operation, it can be used as a main, support or effect speaker. Due to its neutral reproduction characteristics and the high maximum SPL Level, it is equally suitable for speech and music transmission. For low end support, the DAL Sub-Low systems, BR15N, BR115, BR118 are suitable. Featuring two high efficient 6,5" NDym cone transducers with 1.5"voice coils and an NDym 1" driver with 1.75"voice coil on a rotatable horn, the i62N system provides an audio bandwidth of 80Hz - 20KHz with a Peak power handling of 600W.
The i62N system can be operated without the DAL Control & Drive Systems. When operated with the DAL Control & Drive System, the system is optimal parameterized for sonic quality and protected for maximum continuous and peak sound pressure level. The DAL Control & Drive Systems provide different settings for the operation of i62N combinations. The i62N offers a wide horizontal dispersion for stand-alone operation. The i62N is also suitable for tight clustering and arraying, then offering an array dispersion of (h x v) 100° x 35° with the horn in standard orientation or (h x v ) 70°x 35° with the horn rotated.
